As consumers increasingly use technology such as smartphones, laptops and personal computers to shop, retailers are focusing less on their own competition and more on trying to locate and connect with consumers, according to Rodney Mason, GVP of marketing at Blackhawk Engagement Solutions, which conducted a survey of over 2,500 shoppers.
